I have 3 kicker 10 inch comp vrs in my car with a 600 watt xtant amp and since i put in the system it has been shocking the hell out of me do you guys know if it is something that I did wrong or is this just a common prob.
Double check ur ground wire, scrape the paint where u have it grounded....be sure to touch bare metal.

when my elbow touches the door hinge it shockes me or when i close the door it is a really funny subject but it starts to hurt after a while im grinding down the paint for my ground now ill see if that works. thanks for the help
gotta love cloth interior, this time of the year is the worst for it too, lol

I normaly get shocked under my fingernails when I close the doors from the screns in the door panel. I just make sure I hold onto the metal of the door when I get out so I don't get zapped when I close the door

Don't waste your time with those cheap plastic grounding strips. I put one on my cav and all I gained from it was the sound of something dragging when it's cold. I get zapped every bit as bad as when I had nothing at all. Complete waste of money.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
90% of this is probably your ground. basically, your ground isnt conducting as good as you are. if scrapping the paint doent work, try upsizing your ground wire. i get shocked very rarely, and when i do, its because of static, not my stereo.
also, try and make your ground wire as short as possible, wire has resistance. if the wire is more resistant than your body, guess what? your getting shocked.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
all i have in my truck is the factory system and i'm getting shocked every time i get out of my damn truck what would that be from ? it also happens in my dad's truck and my mom's envoy and she has leather interior. what would be causeing all that ? is it the weather that we are having ? it dont happen in my girls car and i have a system in it.

i have LS seats, not the base cloth..please, anybody, HELP!

Spray your seats with anti-static stuff, or rub them with a Downy sheet.

Mine is terrible, it hurts to get out... and its a loud pop, im not talking about rubbing your feet on the carpet static, my car gives off a charge!
mine too, the guys at my job laughed at me today as i got out of my car first on a lunch run...holy crap im getting charges so bad it hurts like a bitch. im not being a wuss either, you hear that spark from about 15 feet away!! its bright and blue! dear god i wanna get rid of it!!
when i step on the ground first, when i grab the door first, it doesent matter, i still get a nasty shock.
