I tried searching for this but came up with nothing. Has anyone but a sub where the spare tire is without fiber glassing it? I was thinking of dynomating the area and taking some mdf and making it in the shape of the cover that goes over the area, and so forth. Any help would be great. By the way I have a 12in RF sub in a standerd box right now.
try menetti (sp?) ask him, and i suggest you search for longer then just today.
would would have to find a way to seal the mdf to the metal. other then that i guess you could

just make a copy of the stock piece out of 3/4, then attach a box to the bottomside of it and bolt the whole thing to the floor.
I don't see getting much airspace out of it without fiberglassing the bottom to the shape of the well...but you could fit something in there decently.

your not going to fit much in there, but it can be done. i would probably take the spare tire cover out and trace that onto some MDF, maybe 1/2 just so its not so thick when it goes back into the trunk. make the rest of the box out of 3/4, its better for subs.
router the edges of the 1/2 inch that you cut out to match your spare cover, it will make it look better if the edsges are rounded smooth, rather than this lip of the stock MDF.
have fun!
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
oh, one last tip, rather than make it a square box in the spare well, make it a octogon or a hexagon to maximize your space and area. a hexagon fits into a circle better than a square does!
