mirror rattling

I'm in the process of deadening key areas of my car. Ok, so just the trunk and door panels. Nothing rattles cept the the rearview mirror inside. I was wonderin if anyone has come acrss a quick efficient way to fix this. Some kind of clamp thing would be nice but I don't know how I'd do that.

can you tighten the screw that holds it to the windshield? Mine used to rattle and vibrate but I tightened it and its quiet and I can see now.

Well, I could try that, but i think it's coming more from the mirror itself vibrating against the plastic.

there's not a whole lot you can do to stop it from rattling other than tightening the screw.

GO PATS!!!

If you wanna take it to the next level (and never hope you have to adjust the mirror) you could epoxy it and keep it from moving.

Yeah, you could use just about any kind of sealant on that, I used rubber cement just because it was so irritating and its the only thing I had nearby and it looks good and most importantly stopped the vibrating. But you could also place a folded sheet of paper between the mirror and platic as a quick fix.
