tonight my 8 year old 85x4 amp died (olny one ch worked) i had to put this in when i was to lazy to send my 500/2 in to get fixed.

anyways now i need to pick a sub amp so they can match

2 orion 2500D's (5000 watt's)

or a XX-Colossus (4000 1 ohm)

i think i will get more out of the XX-Colossus sicne its a 12 volt system what do you guy think?

plus one big @ss amp in the back seat would look krazy

Those collosus amps are friggin retarded. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Plus you'll have that bragging right of "my amp is longer than yours".

the amp's 1600x2 at 1 ohm im goin to run it at .5 so it shouldbe around 4000 watt's.

the 2500D's wound be at .5 but that's alot of current draw.

mark finding the 2500ds at a good price is gonna be next to impossible. they HCCA amps are coming out so they are now extinct. trust me i cant find em anywhere and im looking into other amps now
the collosus is on my list along with the powerbass xa3000d and IA 20.1 If you can find a team power bass member the price is pretty sweet on em too.

i know someone thats on team PB im goin have to talk to him, i looked into them some and they are vary nice amp's. i was goin to wate and see when ikesound gets some more in they are 360 each refurd or the XX for 750 new.

the reason im askin im goin to get a new mid amp tomorrow and i wanted to match but im kinda leanin to the XX but im goin to find out about the PB.

Know what would also work well? A lanzar opti 4000 or a MA Audio HK4000.

the West Coast Customs 2400d is the 1200d, the 2400d is the 5000. who would of thought wcc would rate there amps at max power.

Those jerks. It's all about the big numbers, people drool. I like the amp manufacturers who rate the amp at RMS.

The only problem is orion isnt making the 2500ds anymore. I've talked to all of my orion guys and none of em can come up with any. i may be going the route of a collosus i know of a guy with one i can pick up with warranty. Well if he still has it.

Looks like the ikesound refurbs are going to be your cheapest route, unless you sell yours and go with a different amp. Just about everywhere I looked is out of stock on the 2500d's.
