I am gonna pick up a Directed 2400D from ikesound and 2 SWR-1222D type r's and run them in 2 ohm. That will be 2400RMS to the 2 12's. I am puttin this in a sealed box. Will I be ok with this setup and not overpower and pop em. I think that this should be a pretty decent setup if I say so myself.

I've seen some pretty good burps and stuff with the type r's... but just make sure you wire them up properly, and set that gain properly.
you might want to look into the type X but it will work jsut set the gain's and know when to turn it down
Should I look into dual 4's them and run it in 4 ohm at 1400RMS then?

That's a pretty massive amp to be running 2 subs that are@ 500 rms each. I've seen videos of them doing burps and they took it, but no one knows for how long or anything. Why not get a set of RE SX's or something comperable dual 2 ohm that'll handle the power?
I really like my type r's I've always been a fan of em. Thats what I would like to stick to. I would put the 3 in the trunk but the sub alone weighs 22 pounds x3 thats 66 pounds plus a sealed and divided box. thats gonna be alot of weight in the trunk.

it's alot to me my car already bottoms out. being lowered. Also my car is slow enough as it is. is another person riding in the trunk if ya look at it. but I may just go that route and be done with it.

If your suspension was done right you wouldn't have that problem.
Just be careful not to overpower the type-rs too much. Great subs, but that directed amp could damage those if you aren't really careful. 2400 watts into those subs is way too much. You could always look into getting a smaller amp. the eD Nine.1 amps look good. I'm going to pick one of those up for my 12" xenons when I manage to save up some cash.
I'm just either gonna get a orion 1200D or a viper D1200.1

My 10" weighs as much as your 12".
RE Audio
My mom can beat up your S-10
Anyways, the 1200.1 would probably be a better choice for those subs.
I'll just 1 more swr-1242D it's gonna be cheeper anyway.

You going dual 2, if that's the case, you could run a 2 ohm load.
I'd run it at a 1 ohm load

2009 Ford Mustang V6
I don't know if that amp will run 1 ohm. It's only rated for 2 ohm.
the dei 2400D and viper 2500D will olny take a 1.4 ohm load no lower, the olny way they can take one ohm is if you have a 18 volt set up.
when i fryed my viper 2500D (damn dummie lights on a audio control overdrive said 8 volt's but it was really 16) they said they will fix it or send me 2 dei 1500D's i straped the 1500's to a .7 load (.35 per amp). they took it for a long time till i let my volt's droped down to low and fryed one of them.
anyways the 1200's are stronger amp's and can go alot lower them they are rated but the 2400's and 2500 can't. unless its the orion
also send a little more and get the orion 2500D i think ikesound sells has them for $360 for a refurb (when in stock) better amp and can take alot more.
I'm talkin about the viper D1200.1 and the Orion 1200D they're both 1200 RMS@ 1ohm stable.

Either of those will work, and you will rejoice!
friend of mine has the D1200.1 on his old style type r's @ 1ohm and Damn do they sound sweet. very clean and loud. There are just a couple things I dont like about them. 1 being the fact that you have to put the wires on the plug then plug them into the amp. and the ones on his were backwards. the ground and constant were reversed so when we hooked it up it popped the fuses on the amp. no big deal we fixed that. then the speaker wires were reversed so I fixed that to. all in all his beretta hits pretty good in a sealed box.
