BASS TUBE install?

Hey anyone have an opinion on bass tubes? I'm considering getting a 6" 200w amplified Bazooka tube to mount on the floor under my glove box. Also, what do you think of converting the interior space of the glove box to house a subwoofer with the amp mounted underneath it? So that the speaker is concealed behind the glove box door. Any input?

Maybe not the best, but at least it's American.

I have the 8" 200w amplified bass tube and all i can say is you only get bass out of it if it's facing into your trunk. The closer to the back of the trunk the better. That's my input.

Youd be surprised how much more bass youll get out of it in the trunk....Dont do it in the glove compartment because youll have to deal with ALOT of rattling. Get a 12'' audiobahn tube, 225 watt rms...thats what i had/have. So nice and sounds great. Cost me 220 bux for the tube, installation and wiring.

Bazooka tubes like to be corner loaded.

Having it up front will not produce as much bass as you are thinking. The sub will be too close to you, so the distance needed to form a bass wave will not be adequate.

I actually just bought one of the 8" Bazookas for a quick bass fix. Here is a pic of where I mounted it.

Ehhh, I wouldn't mount it in your dash. You might not have enough room, and like everyone else said you're gonna have ALOT of rattles. See if you can find a small sub to mount underneath your driver and passenger seats. Now THAT is fun.

I have a BTA 8200 mounted almost identical to Sommer, and I love it. Ditto on the trunk making it work a lot better.
