I'm also not too big of a fan of audiobahn subs. I've had a few pairs in my lifetime and have had nothing but trouble.
That wooden gift case should come in handy when or if you decide to sell them.

It could also double as a coffin when he has to bury his dead subwoofers in the backyard

did you miss the list of subs i put up?
and three subs is lame unless you have dual 6 ohm coils or something...give you an odd load on the amp, as well as not being much louder then 2 subs.

I would go with anything Diamond Audio. I have 2 12's in my 2k Z24 on a HiFonics 1500w mono block class d amp. I can't turn the gain up past quarter of the way up or my wipers won't stay on the widshield.
The midwest is here....... are YOU ready.
Personally ill stick with my Infinities. Not SPL based, but i like hearing every beat, every note without distortion.
what does gain, fade and stuff on an amp mean???
"Sunfire got stolen, all i have is the J to remember it by"
theres nothing wrong with doing 3 subs, you said 3 amps to go along with them... no weird impedences... 2 ohms each. 3 subs is a lot more surface area than 2 and you dont have to push them so hard to get the same SPL numbers. I would have to suggest against the 3 amp dealio though... you want to spend $1200.... each amp(if decent) is gonna run you about $400 at least. I suggest one BIG amp that will be 1 ohm stable and get three- dualVC 2ohm subs, running at 1.33 ohms. If you want it to sound a little better, spend the extra $$ on the seperate amps and it'll sound cleaner and you get the bling factor. as for audiobahn... looks cool.. not nicest sounding, great for show car though. good luck
Gain is used to match voltages from the source unit.
Fade is volume front to back.
Stuff on an amp means you better wipe it up soon!
why not go with 3 12" se's and a orion 2500D i think that will give you a .66 ohm load (to tired to think)
i had 3 jl 12 w3 d4's and they hit hard
I have 2 JL W7's and they hit like crazy
