Orion 1200D or Hifonics BX1205D or Hifonix BX1505D "Brutus"

I'm leaning towards the Hifonix BX1505D just because its 1500 watts and that will be plenty of power for me. What do u all think is the better one? How is the Hifonics line vs. Orion

I would go with the Orion.. its 1ohm stable and its 1200w RMS and underated.. but its also a much higher build quality than Hifonics.. I have heard some not so good things about them lately that scare me.. nothing but good from Orion though

Hifonics amplifiers are notorious for being overrated (ie: at 15-16V). That "1500w" Hifonics amp may be very similar to the 1200D for power. Unless the price difference is quite large (ie if the Hifonics amps are alot cheaper), go with the Orion amp.

Are you sure that the Orion isnt 1200 RMS ( True Power ) and maxes out at 2400 ? thats just what I have heard.. Im most likely wrong though.. that and people use it and seems to be stable at .5 ohm also

I had the BX1500D running at 1 ohm, and I cooked 3 of them. They were using really crappy components at the time. My BX1800D's I ran at 2 ohm and they ran no problem. I'd still go with the Orion though. What subs are you going to run, and don't say those type E's you got.

Make sure you have your gains set properly. I don't wanna see you back here in a week saying my subs sound funny and smell bad and then don't work.

You'll be fine with the big 3 and a yellow top. You'll be running at a 2 ohm load, and not big power yet, so you're fine with your stock alternator.
