Viper 791xv and Clifford RSX 3.5????

Hey,
I am going to be making my alarm purchase so I am wondering if these 2 are basically the same. I assume they are but im wondering what differences there are.
Anybody that has either of these, what are your likes/dislikes??? mainly ur dislikes.
Also, if i get the viper, i've heard about 20 different bypass modules to get - the dei tech site says to use the 556LW so should i use that one??

TIA

-Seth

Both are made by DEI so they're going to be pretty similar. Any remote start you buy will require a passlock bypass module, 555LW.

Thanks.
When I do the door sensor, do i need to use the diodes or is there a module that i can use for that too??? I heard there was.

Anyone with some opinions on either of these???

Diodes is the easiest way to do the door sensor. I like the Viper, never had any experience with Clifford.

the viper and clifford are basically the same unit. made in the same factory. so it doesnt really matter.

you can do either on a 5sp, just need to setup a neutral switch.
