I need a like to the picture or a page number in the car manual where it says that not using the module will make your airbags go off.

People at a stero shop made me look like an assbag for not buying from them FOR
AN ASTOUNDING 119$

I need that picture or page so I can go Back and rub it in thier face.

check out Lenko's site he's got the best info there if you need it. Think there is a link in the sticky at the top

You want something that says the airbags will go off? There is nothing credible that will say that because it's not true.

I'm not sure that it says (anywhere) that they WON'T turn off--but it also doesn't say anywhere that they WILL.

Just installed a double-din Alpine in my 2000 Monsoon Sunfire--ONLY thing I lost was door chimes. There's isn't an airbag light on, obviously.

The only problems you can run into is if you use the module and either don't wire it correctly or it's a bad module. I've seen a guy I work with that installed a radio and the module was bad and the car wouldn't start.

go back and tell them you will just install it yourself and that you'll bring it back to prove them wrong, lol.

Look at your owners manual, under chime level adjustment.

it says in VERY PLAIN LANGUAGE that removing the factory deck will disable the chimes.

Don't you think something important... like the airbags... would be mentioned there as well? Me too. But it isn't...

I've replaced so many factory decks it's not funny... and some of those HAVE been in accidents... and every time, the airbags go off.

what was said earlier today from one of the guys on a local message board, He is an installer at an audio shop..

[quote="hades"]hahaha, that site you posted up must be run by a moron  ive personally witnessed problems after removing the factory radio. no chime, once the domelight no longer worked (foreget the model of car though). i have heard of air bags going off for no reason down the road, but the more important air bag caution is the fact that they have been known to NOT go off in an accident after the radio is removed. ive been doing this for a long time, and will put my knowledge of anything 12v up against anyone, anytime. ive accomplished many things that people said wasnt possible, but even i wouldnt install a radio in a class 2 car without either leaving the factory radio in, or adding the class 2 module.

Refering to Lenko's site...

Tell that installer to wake up and smell the year 2000.

With that attitude, he'll be out of business when all cars are Class 2.

the "module" doesn't have jack to do with the airbags...
