I have heard, from a few people, that inifinty got bought out and doesn't make speakers as good as they used to? Any trurth to this?

harman industries has owned them for a while now... i THINK recentlty thye took over production

regardless wether they were bought out or not they make quality products,i have 2 infinit y kappa perfect 6.1 6 1/2'' components and infinity kappa 6905.3 3-wayy 6x9's which are both infinity top component system and top 6x9's and i love them harmon kardon/infinity makequality product either way.....
I love infinity but have not heard any of their reccent stuff yet,

while i havent seen any physical evidence, ive seen zero drop in their quality over the years. id have to see some damn good proof for me to believe harman took over their production. and even if they did, what else is better for cheaper? nothing. period.

I've got references all around, sounds great. 6010cs and 6012i, all new stuff.
the kappas are all still made my infinity, only the newest of the new have been produced by harman .. hence the bobo name that i cant even remember
again this is all my speculations.. some guy at brandsmart told me and ive been looking to no avail
All I can say is that for silk dome tweeters on infinity products they sure are overly bright.
Well harmen has production of JBL speakers, such as the GTO and GTI series. Both are damn good speakers.

Trust me on this one. I produce hip hop and idm type music. i've got a real pricey set of studio monitors at home and a really picky ear. I've heard Kappa 6x9's and the quality ( especially flat + total frequency response ) is amazing.. they can also handle quite a bit of wattage compared to your average car speaker. They're the best i've heard so far but i'm sure there are others i have overlooked ( i do like high end pioneers as a budget choice.. )

My Kappa 6x9's are great got them in my ride and the gf's.
I run all infinty in the wife's truck... I like the way it sounds better than my car full of Polk/MOMO...
but I didn't say that...

the 6012i speakers are quite clear i have them myself
I hate to break it you you fanboys, but MB-Q, Alpine, CDT, Boston Acoustic... All have more potential, and to be honest, Alpine has the best bang for your buck in this category. Type 'R compoents go for 120 $ ffs.

i had complete infinity componants in my last car(saturn) man that was awesome. teh car gopes 6 1/2 all the way around, so nice, to bad i dont have the car anymore
I'll go a step further...
Infinty makes the best home theater speakers I have heard also. If I didn't get a great deal on my Bose, I would have gone Infinity in a heart beat. Both home and car speakers, Infinty has the best, most crisp, clear highs than any other I have heard.
