i have an indash flip out dvd player for about a year now and the other day it went dead so i check it out all the wire are fine so i disconnect them and redo them but the thing is it blowing fuse like crazy, it blow the fuse on the power line and the 10 fuse for the interior light, the wire harness that i'm using is the one where i have to have the old radio still up. could this be the head unit or something else. Thank inadvance
It could be an internal short to ground in the head unit.
whats the model number on your pioneer? im j/c.
i have Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD
are u sure u want the air bags twin brother i'll think about it, and yes i have disconnect all the wire and just put on the groud, ACC, battery and ebrake wire and the same think happen. I am thinking about sending the indash out but want to make sure it's not the problem and by the way sndsgood the bags are sweet
Take the unit out of the car and test it on a bench type setup. take a 12 volt battery and take the 12 volt constant and ignition and fuse them. That way if its an internal problem the fuse will just pop/ . then take the ebrake and ground and put them to the negative on the battery. touch the power wires to the positive side and see if you get power and everything works. if you do that narrows it down to being in the vehicle. if you dont and it smokes the fuses you know its a problem with the unit.
thank alot guys i'm going to try it and if it's the vehicle is the problem how can i fixed it
finding it would be the hardest part and then depending on what it is we can help more from there.
