Go to a few audio shops around you and listen to some subs and see what kind of deals you can get, then make a decision.

The front speakers are 4x6s.

The factory xm antenna will not work with any aftermarket receiver, the plug is different.

i have always liked kicker subs, some people dont.. the new SX line of amps is amazing but $$$$ the older KX line is great also and much cheaper

for tweeters / components i have bostons powered by alpine and have NO complaints whatso ever

but go listen for yourself, its the best way

Best thing is to go check out a store... play with stuff... then buy it all on Ebay from a reputable seller

But... I'd start with an alarm. No sense in putting some nice audio stuff in your ride, just to have it jacked because you didn't protect it.

ive Always wondered what the point of a car alarm is all it does is make noise and maybe flash lights its not like it calls the cops or anything.

but anyways dont the sunfire have tweeters in them like stock that i could replace.

for subs i liked these kicker subs

what does everyone suggest for the rear deck though?

when u get subs and a nice component set up front, rear fill is thrown out of your vocabulary

i have 2 comp vrs with a KX 600.1 kicker amp and it pounds, love it

downside to that lenko is if every does that all those audio stores are going to close down.

allot of times that simple alarm is enough to cause a theif to move on. they want the easiest target they can find, the harder you make it to get stuff, the less likely you are of having your hard earned toys stolen.

Everyone won't do that... so I'm not worried. People in general are too lazy to hunt out a good deal. That's why retailers can charge WAY more than the manufacturer's suggested retail price and get away with it.

I worked retail for YEARS. Don't have to preach to me

Man shop around that price is crazy, for 249 you can get a pair of Kicker L5s from crutchfeld...here This is much louder and much nicer and still cheaper http://www.crutchfield.com/S-8pauPtvbcx9/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=510&I=2064VS12L7&search=Kicker+VENDORID206&SearchDisplay=Kicker

and this is the 2 kicker L5s

at buy one get one free prices how can you resist? just pick up a nice kicker specific box, www.sonicelectronix.com has some really nice stuff for decent prices and i'm sure these other guys on here know some good places as well. Dont pay high retail prices, i almost did but i shopped around and found a Kicker L7 for 169 with free shipping....cant beat that price from an authorized kicker dealer, not some ebay crook
