My daughter got a DEI Valet 561R remote start kit for her 2003 cavalier. I installed the remote start and all is working fine. I noticed it has a AUX button that provides a 200 mA (-) output that can be used to operate a trunk/hatch release.

My question is can this be hooked up to the trunk release button under the dash? If so then how.

If not, how can this be hooked up to operate the trunk release?

you gotta get the aux wire hooked up to the trunk release relay then, you done pretty much then you gotta teach the unit to pop the trunk, all in the instructions to programming

Where is the trunk release relay (is this the yellow button under the dash ?)? Also, which wire would I tap into? The unit is already programmed to handle this so no programming is needed).
