there are 4 wires on my 6x9s, all 4 wires go into a black thing. which wires are which because i need to figure out which 2 of the 4 are power and ground so i can hook them up to some new 6x9s.

Give me the colors of the wires for both the rear speakers and I might be able to help you out.

RIP Specks

You have an amplified set of rear speakers... there is no power and ground, there are four speaker wires. Two go to the woofer, two to the tweeter.

Pick the two you want... connect to those two.

If you want the full range of sound, you'll have to tap into the wires BEFORE they go into the amp (on the driver's side of the trunk, behind the carpet). You may need an amp for this...

buy a new deck and just rerun the speaker wires for the 6x9's. thats what i did. its almost easier than trying to find the right factory wires before they go into the factory amplifier.

well what i did was seperate the tweeter wired on my 6x9s and wire each to its own se tof wires. once it goes the the black connecter the longer wires are for the tweeters, shorter are for woofers. thats how it was on mine

The colors of the wires are Green, blue, brown and yellow. Which wire is which?

Are those the colors going into one speaker? I need the colors going into each speaker. You stated that you have four wires going to each speaker. I need all eight colors. I also need to know if any have strips or are light in color. If you have problems tell which is which, Try this link for colors and connections.
