HAHAHA please tell me you're joking.

I have to agree, subs kinda blow.
L5's aren't that good if you want sure quality base. If you want kicker, go L7's only. I myself prefer the Orion subs of kicker but to each his own.

I wouldn't use them either.....

The system has arrived.
I don't use Kicker subs either, nor would I say they're the best, but I also wouldn't go so far as to call them junk.

dont let anyone tell you different. i have had a cvr12 for the past 2 years. kicker makes damn good speakers and its all in the enclosure as to what sound quality you want. and also how much power you have. speaking of power, for those solobarics, you might want to get another of those 400.1's. those bitches suck some serious power. make sure you get a good capacitor also b/c they will use every bit of power they can get.
those bastards telling you they are crap probably own the kicker comps(extremely obsolete). if you want great sound quality go with an enclosed box. only be prepared to need nearly twice the power. atleast the max rms power of the speaker. good luck and try not to blow out your windows.
Kickers speakers have gone to sh%t. The amps are ok, kinda overpriced tho but normaly under rated. I wasn't joking, my whole setup was kicker and getting rid of it was the best thing I have done.

i have to agree with u on this, any thing is really better that stock
i have 2 solobaric l5's 12's in a vented enclosure tuned to 38 hzd ave never had any complaints but to each his own.
Cool setup for a start! Just dont get a Sony Xplod 1000 watter to power it. LOL like I did. (y=trying to go cheap).

looks liek an overpriced best buy system... prob paid 80 for the wires... yuck
i dont care what anyone here says about kicker products ive always bought them and have never had a problem. they leaps and boun over any audiobahn and sony out there.
You gotta give the guy props. i mean how many parents really know what goes into a system these days? I mean there are a few parents who know all about stereo systems and such but then there isnt. I wish my parents would buy me a setup.. i had to buy my own..lol
one of my boys has an L5 setup in his accord, and i gotta say, that sucker rumbles good.
Vented enclosures are awesome for deep bass rumble and SPL
But Sealed enclosures are better for hard hitting bass.
But like M. Groves said, get a bigger amp, that sucker throws down a LOT of bass, and eats a LOT, a VERY LOT of juice, get a big amp, something around 600rms, and a 1 farad capacitor and you should be set
Freakin morons.... When will they learn. Hold On Not Done Accelerating

Lol that was the first thing I thought when I saw that too. I love putting these boxes in people's cars that haven't had subs before and they get real excited lol. I would think about seeing if you can exchange that 400 for a 600.1 though if you have the extra cash.

kicker is the @!#$, idk what other people think. my 2 comp 10"s are louder & have twice the sound quality as my friends 2 audiobahn 12"s. people like different things so dont listen to anyone else when it comes to sound.
i also see the paid sticker from circuit city, haha i just opened my kicker 6x9's
my one buddy has 5 xplods and 3 xplod amps, lol its quite the setup and probably cheaper than what i paid
yay for walmart

Well now. I'll put my single Resonant SE10 against your two 10's....and then we'll be back at square one again.

In the end it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks - if you're happy, that's all that counts.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
Ya Kicker is pretty bad. I sell Kicker, so I might be biased-sp, but I love the sound. The Solo X is freakin' insane. My boss has one, and GOD. I can't stand being in that car. The pressure hurts so bad. But the L5 is a great sub, expecially since you didn't pay for it. But that kx400.1 amp is not powerful enough. Get the kx600.1 or the sx650.1 to get the full potential.
