Where can i buy a nice set of kick panel enclosures. I dont like the way the 4x6's sound and i would like to get components so i figure kick panel is the way to go. I already have an amp ready for them so no need to let me know about the night and day difference between no amp and amp.
Q logic makes kick panels for our cars. I know u can find them for sale on sounddomain. A lot of people have better luck making their own though. If you feel like pursuing that route I hear that people get better sound quality with the home made panels.
just glass the back of the q-logic, they sound great once you glass them.

you dont hafta go with the kick panels. Just make mdf adapters for the 4x6 location. mount 6.5s and your good to go.

not glass them completely in like a box...just reinforce the backsides

yep, i've got a set and they sound just fine. They don't sound much different then the custom ones i built.
You won't get as good midbass response as you would a solid door installation though, so keep that in mind. a 3 way component set would work well with putting the mid and tweet in the kick and the smaller midbass in the door

well i have two subs ...so i was hoping i could install these panels with a mid and a tweet and do away with the door speakers and the 6x9s in the back...but you say it would sound better with mids in the door? coorect?

tweet + midrange in the kicks, and a midbass, like a JL 6w0 or Elemetal Designs EU-700, in the doors. I would also recommend using ample amounts of sound deadning material in the doors and behind the kicks.

if anything just use an 8"...but you'll probably still have to make buildouts on your door panel so they clear the windows. I had clearence isssues with my 6.5", lol
