Does anyone know what the GM crimp connectors that join the body wiring together are called or where to get them? if one removes the tape on the union, there are 3 or 4 wires, the ends are tinned and this crimped connector is pressed around them.

That just looks like a butt connector with solder on it. Why do you need one? Just connect them together and solder them all together and use heat shrink tubing.
