Ive got a 15" re sx coming in my mail sometime soon and ive got a prefab dual 15" box. For temporary cuz i already had it from my sister. Would i be better off by making a hole about a square foot inside the center barrier to combine both sides and put a piece of mdf over the the side where the second sub would be?

Depends. Go take some measurements of the box and we can let you know. Also...I hope it isn't made out of 5/8" particle board like most pre-fabs....especially for an SX.
like i said its just temporary Maybe a month at most. Ill get measurements coming soon.

just cut a new board the same size as the front of the box...attach it. then cut a new hole. simple as that.
just make sure your airspace isn't too big...might need to add some mass to the inside to cut it down a bit (if it's needed)

wysiwyg so either way id hafta remove the center divider... Your saying put the sub center of the box correct? remove center divider and add some supports inside the box. put a new piece over the the front..

i wasn't aware it had a center divider. remove it if need be
but yes, i would just cut a piece of wood the same size as the front of the box...attach it. then cut a hole in the middle.

yea, it'll look kind of funny having a sub on one side and a slab of wood covering the other side. kind of like you got jacked one sub and decided to just cover it up.
lol at those comments but i guess your right. Still dont have any measurements on the box yet cuz im not at where it is . But it is small enough to fit in a sunfire i can say that..
