i need to know what i have to do to get at the alternator? it a 2.4 98 cavi and i see one bolt under the intake that looks hard to remove? need help i need my car for tomorow

It's easier to remove your air intake, then remove the intake manifold, as it exposes everything underneath. It may sound a bit involved, but trust me....it is just a plastic manifold that bolts to the head. At least I believe that would be the easiest way to access it though it's been a while since I had it off for the S/C install.

Basically remove @!#$ until you find the rest of the bolts. It's held on by 2 or 3 without a doubt.

do i need a new intake gasket? thanks i thought of that but it sounded hard and i got to get it off before canadian tire closes at 5 it 11.38 now thanks

Nope... the intake gasket is this big plastic/rubber thingy.... no need to replace it unless it's broken. It's reuseable.
