well i searched and searched... didnt come up with ANYTHING.... has this been done? i am wanting to do this, just wasnt sure if it was the situation to just buy the parts and install or if i have to fab some stuff... please fill me in!!!!!

you have steering wheel controls on yer car? i would have to look, but i think one of my vendors has a unit for gm cars that lets you program your aftermarket stereo remote functions to your audio controls on the wheel. chances are yes, it can be done. just about anything can be done for the right investment of time/money. when i went to snake pit, one of the instructors said a guy he knew put remote start on a mercedes with the ir encoded keys. had to source out fiber optic cable,etc..........so just goes to show i gess.
