My friend is trying to sell me an amp its a kicker ix1320 an older kicker and i dont know how many watts is it because i dont want to get over charged for a pos amp. any help is appreciated.
thnx
I tried to search for you, but I couldnt find a spec for it. I have a friend in Des Moines, IA that works for the Kicker dealer there. I'll give him a call and see what he can find for me.

thnx i just dont wanna get ripped off. cuz hes selling it for 50 dollars so i cant really tell if its any good just by looking at it.
thnx
I think you mean a 1302, kicker never made anything 1320...
but here is a linky on kickers site to the stats, 130x2 rms at 4 ohms 12.5v with less than .085% thats @!#$ amazing for 50 dollars. Shows how things used to be rated a whole lot more accurately than they are now. If you are sure it's good, and you don't want it, buy it for 50 and I'll buy it off ya.
Here's the deal - like Skylar said, it's a 1320 and 130x2@4Ohms, and I talked to my guy at the local dealer and he said they tend to put out a bit more than their rating, and bridged it'll make around 250-270 RMS, but it helps if they get 14 volts. They're the entry level line for Kicker, but it's still a good buy.

Thanks everyone i will definatly take him up on his offer. who knows maybe i can use it for my 6x9's
thnx
6x9's that handle a real world 130rms... those are some expensivo 6x9's. The best line of JL 6x9's only handle 80 real watts. And bridged it's going to be sitting around 520rms or more because it will have the same output of running it 2 ohm stereo only summed into a single 4 ohm output, just read the manual it gives you bridged wattage too. And 500rms at only .2% thd at 4ohms fully driven is nothing to sneeze at. Not to mention the s/n ratio is 95 db at rated output power. It may have been entry level at the time, but everything by good companies like kicker, jl, alpine, even sony in 1999 was a lot better quality than they are putting out these days. Anyway, good find it is definitely humpable for 50 bucks.

remember that the amp puts out 130watts at 2 ohms. most 6x9s are 4 ohms, so that would be 65watts.
so would that amp work for 2 pioneer 6x9s 300 watts max
i have a set of 6x9's getting 130 and their rated for 80(pioneer 5 way). i think the ratings are thermal watts. a good set of 6x9's can take 150 i think(i dont have any bass going to it though)

sure, it would work but you would only be putting 65 watts rms to them when their rms rating is 150watts.
i think they say the rms is 80 not sure because i dont remember where they are right now and i dont feel like getting them out. and ive been told that kickers sometimes put out more then what the specs say they do. not sure if its true or not.
