Looks like another extremely inefficient superwoofer with an enormous motor structure that could have been reduced using good materials. Don't expect these to sound good in a cavalier, judging by the suspension on them you ware going to need about 5000 watts rms to drive them, and that kind of power just isn't really available in cavs.

Skyler you really have no idea what the hell you are talking about do you. If im not mistaken one of htose woofers uses a neo magnet. and find me a car audio speaker that isnt inefficient. them sounding good in acavalier has nothing to do with the power you need. I can guarantee you that they dont take 5kw to get going. Especially since there isnt many voice coils out there who can thermally handle that much power for that long. I can get over 10kw in a cav. easy. So I dont know why you think that 5000 is alot. The suspension cant be judged from a picture either. yes it looks massive but ive seen woofers that looked beastly and wang with very little power. W7 maybe. and maybe an idmax. BTW these are not cheap parts

Those sure are pretty! Any word on when they're going to be available? Now I just need to find an RE distributor up here...

A 15 (maybe two) should fit in our trunks, provided that they don't need 10 cubic feet to operate properly. Looking at the crazy mounting depth of those subs, an 18 will likely only fit if it points straight up.
I'd be willing to try one or two sans wall

Thats actually pretty cheap. I think RE should have another group buy for all of their 06 models to get things kicked off on the right foot .

from what they've said. it's still a XXX, so it's going to sound just as good as the old ones.

i wonder why they used a neo magnet for the mx. is the mx basically ur cool looking sub to show off, or was there reasoning behind the neo magnet. from what ive seen neo magnets increase cost ALOT.

Ok, 5kw was an obvious over exaggeration.... but I guess not obviously enough for you. And you get over 10,000 watts in a cavalier, sweet setup man I congratulate you. That's either a bunch of batts, or a few alternators. I wasn't trying to upset the RE supporters out there, they make very good products that are very good at competing with other brands. Anyways, i'm a sound Q guy and your thinking is right I never should have posted in here, so I apologize. I'm not going to hold it against you that you made it sound like I didn't know what I was talking about when really I did and there is a lot of things that that you can tell from a suspension on a woofer that will tell you how efficient it is. Also how do you know again that the woofer is made of neodymium? neodymium only costs manufacturers about $1 a gram, so I am completely sure they used all nedymium and no strontium ferrite in these subs.... yeah but again I may be wrong. And also as you stated I have no idea what I am talking about.
