Sealed pre-fab box

so i went and got meter'd yesterday. i gotz a 142.0. keep in mind this was the first time i had ever meter'd my car or anything for that matter. oh yea my system:

2 12" RE SX's in a pre-fab sealed box
1 Orion 2500D
2 Everstart Maxx batt's
Iraggi H.O. Alt (120a idle)
Pioneer Premier 860MP h/u

Overall i am very happy because this is just my daily driver setup and sounds killer getting that loud. in fact the guy that metered me was really amazed at how good they sounded, asked me an assload of questions, freaked out that they were RE's entry level spl sub, and asked for the website and all that info, which i gave generously. so I converted a Kicker guy into a RE guy. i would have enetered into competiton but i didnt have enough money. but i was good either way because at the last min 2 Digital Designs Vans pulled up with walls. anyway continue with your lives.....Bo

thats a great score, especially for sealed. with that much power ide expect atleast 144-146 if u decided to ever try to fit a ported box in the trunk.

So the guy that setup the meter has never heard of RE???? lol...are you sure he setup the meter right?

thankyou

Lash: this was on the audiocontrol mic (as termlab are close to non-existant in Texas) in the passenger kick with the drivers side door open and me in it, rear seats down of course. the guy had HEARD of RE but never heard them in person before. which did seem wierd to me. but the mic was setup right, 2 kicker L5 8"s pulled a 137 in a eclipse legal, 152 port wars style. like i said my first time meter'd but i am not a total newb at car audio, ask wsyiwygi and nate ....

also this was a USACI sanctioned event which uses the A.C. mic for thier spl records. yes i know the A.C. is an easier mic but hey im still happy. on the termlab i'd prob do...what......say a 136-ish. on music i did a 137 on the A.C. mic...

i would have expected more from two SX's..but being that it's a prefab, maybe it's the wrong dimenesions for them.

ooh man. i was assuming that was on a termlab. for a prefab box that is more than likely not the correct dimensions, thats not bad tho. did u enjoy competing?
