I'm going to be putting a screen and dvd unit in my car, probly in the spring, and was wondering if i could add navigation some way so that i wouldnt have to buy the whole unit- - just like some sort of software that i could run off the dvd or something?? If you know what im talkin about or just wanna call me a moron please just let me know lol

What I would do would be.
Get a GPS with USB out
Connect GPS to laptop
laptop to screen
and from the laptop run a program that you didn't download off the internet.
only options are use a laptop/carputer, get a stand alone GPS or DVD/GPS combo

i personally sell dual/kenwood/audiovox gps nav units that will work/made to work with a screen that exists in the car already. they are all around a grand, except the dual, which goes for like 850 i think.
