every once in a while i will hear a loud pop when im listenin to my music. i have the 12 inch type r and the 800w mono pioneer amp, its all wired correctly, it just started doing it. I will be like "POP" and keep playing the music like nothing happend.
I take it thats really bad for the sub and the amp, but what could be causing it, i check the wires and they all look fine??
hmmmm.... I am confused, and the Blonde genius that is me,

anyone know?

probably a wire that is grounding out...maybe it's a speaker wire that is contacting metal when you hit a bump or something..or it could be the plug on your rca hitting something metal.
trace your wiring and visually inspect it.

make sure all your connections are solid.
Check the connections and make sure there isn't a groinding problem, and also, since you didn't mention it, is the pop happening at high volume? It's possible the sup is being pushed way beyond its limits and the motor assembly is shorting out.
