hey guys. could you please tell my by looking at this picture if this aternator is for the 2.2 or the 2.4? here is the picture....

i asked him and he says that he didnt know. only that it will fit cav, fire, beretta, ect. '96-'02.

yea, thats what i was hoping but i called auto zone and they say that they are different part numbers. i have 4 hours left to find out.
i noticed that it says "115 90A". that doesnt sound like a very strong alternator does it? god i need to learn more about engines.

No, not really a strong one, just a stock replacement. Honestly the stock one isn't all that difficult to polish, just takes some elbow grease. Go to a junkyard and see if you can get the case from a stock one and polish it in your spare time, then swap the case over.
