out of good advice i've decided to get a gps that plugs into usb on a laptop. Whats the best one for under 250?

Microsoft has one that comes with some decent map software for like $120. Rand McNally and Garmin both have one as well under $150 that has some decent software with it.

go out and buy streets and trips 2006 that comes with the GPS unit. You won't be disappointed.

yeah i dotn exactly trust microsoft
but i think the garmin gps 18 is my winner...anybody disaggree?

Look for a prgram called Delorme Street Atlas 2006, it comes with a GPS antenna. You can get it at best buy and cc, it is in the software section. I use it for work on a daily basis and it is pretty good, I have a few co workers who use it as well and we are all pretty happy with it.
