should i install a bass tube or a reg sub i have both but need to get a amp. the bass tube is already amped. the problem is my 6 month old daughter rides in the car. i know i can control it from my headunitand turn it off. i just miss it and don't know to much about bass tubes. Thank you for any help.

i'd save the money and just stick with the tube. If that's not enough than maybe you should hook up the sub

All a basstube is, is a Speaker in a big plastic tube. Bass freq. are omni directional, having a tube kinda points which way it will sound louder.

Gotta love the sound of a reg sub in a box. I had a bass tube once, and they don't even compare. JL Audio all the way.

I have a tube and it is fine for my need. I have my baby girl with me and i also need the space in my car for the chairt etc.. so it has worked out fine for me.

Yes, for people who don't need a lot of bass and need room in the trunk, a tube is convenient. it adds some punch, and can easily be moved around. But for those of us who want killer bass that shakes the car next to you when you are at the stop lights, a reg sub in a box is the way to go.
