Need help, positive battery nut.

Well yeah, prob a dumb question, but I have everything ready to go. I have a new bronze battery tap/nut for my power wire for my system. I unscrew the positive terminal and the nut won't come out from the terminal. It comes out of the battery fine but how do I get it out of the positive terminal so I can replace it with the new one? It just won't come out. Did I miss something?

Im a little confused. I assume you have side terminals. And have one of these:

Or something like it, right?

If the nut on it is not coming off, try pliers or a wretchet and socket.

But if your talking about the actual battery nut, then its not supoosed to come out from the battery.

I think what he means is that it won't come out of the red plastic cover that surrounds it. I had the same problem when I replaced mine. You just have to get a screw driver inbetween the nut and the red plastic cover, and pry away. It will eventually come out after a little work.

Well I feel like a retard. That literally took me 2 minutes to get out. Just didn't see how big it was inside the red plastic. Just get a flat tip, stretch the plastic, and pry. Hope this may help someone.
