If i was to make a bracket to fit 6.5" speaker in the doors, how much depth is there for them?

A search results in nothing so try it out yourself before you reccomend that to others. id rather ask how much depth there is before I rip into my door panels...k?

I believe the 6.5"s I put in my doors were 2 1/16" deep...
I used a 3/4" spacer-- this made the speaker juuuuust about touch the inside of the door panel.. The almost fit in the hole, depth wise, without any spacer.
If your door speakers are anywhere near 2 1/16" deep, I would make the spacer out of 1/2" or possibly 3/8"..
It all depends on the mounting depth of the speaker. Some have larger baskets than others.
