Just ordered the new sub, didn't have my amp specs on me. The guy said I'd most likely want a dual 2 voicecoil as I'm running a 2 channel amp bridged to 1. I'm an idiot when it comes to this aspect, so I'm making sure he was right?
Dual 2 ohm coils parallel 1ohm. series 4 ohm.
Dual 4 ohm coils parallel 2 ohm. series 8 ohm.
If your amp isn't capable of handling a 1ohm load, dual 2ohm will overload the amp and put it in protection mode.
Most 2 channel amps are stable down to 4ohms when bridged, so run your voice coils in series and bridge the sub across the 2 channels and you'll be getting the most out of your amp.
Bottom line, yes you got the right sub.

I have a couple of 2 channel amps that are stable to 1/2 ohm when bridged, so you can't go off of what "most" amps are stable at. You need to look at what load your amp is stable at while bridged.
Should have it today, any of you guys that have helped please stick around, I appreciate it

.
So my sub can handle 150 watts RMS.
My amp puts out 150 watts bridged into a 4 ohm load.
I bought the dual 2 voicecoil.
Am I good? Also how do I wire the sub being it's dual VC?
You want the wire to go from the bridged positive (should be labeled on the amp or stated in the manual) to the positive of one voice coil, then from the negative of that coil to the positive of the other coil, from the negative of the second coil to the bridged negative of the amp.

Awesome.
So my sub and amp specs match up perfectly then, right?
Good deal.
Just to let you guys know I'm running an MTX Road Thunder RT202 amp and this
little cute sub with an enclosure custom made by them!
I need something simple to give me the bass I lack, nothing insane by any means. Small, light, yet it'll impress people I'm hoping.
I'm going to hide the amp and mount the enclosure in the most simplistic way possible.
well i wanna see when your fnished and if i cn ever get mjy ass out to a jbom meet
I've never been to a J-BOM meet. I'm located on the SW side of Michigan in South Haven

.
Thanks again guys. Things are all coming together.
I'm in love with my new Clarion deck.
