Car Alarm Help: Black Widow X5

Hi, I was wondering if somebody could give me some advice regarding my security system. It's a black widow X5 system, and it's giving me a few headaches. I took it to the shop today to have a couple things looked at, but you tell the "experts" what's wrong and they only decided to fix a couple of the problems.

Problems:
1) Passenger side door doesn't detect if it's open or not. The car still recognizes that the door is open (the light comes on when the door is open), but the alarm doesn't go off. I think it's just the door pin, but how do you fix that in relation to the Black widow main unit?

2) Same problem with the hood pin. I can open the hold with the alarm, push the pin in and out, and the alarm doesn't even detect that the pin exists.

Also, does anybody have problems with their two way pagers talking to you when there is frost on their windshield? Every morning when I go to deactivate my alarm, it deactivates, but won't talk to the remote saying that deactivation has taken place. Is it because the antenna is cold? I'm lost on this one...

Anyways, thanks for the help in advance, all comments are welcome.

Thanks,
Graham

I would take it back to the "experts" and make them fix these problems...at no charge!!!

You shouldn't have any issues with a professional install.
Just my two cents.

Peace Out!

Id say change the batteries in the transmitter..

As far as the other 2 problems- its all in the wiring..

Somewhere between the hood pin & the alarm module, the wire isn't connected...
The door trigger for the passenger side isn't connected either.. Pretty simple fixes really- any "expert" shouldn't having a problem fixing it, relatively quickly...

Check the wiring harness that connects to the brain of the alarm. Make sure all the wires are seated correcty. I had this happen when installing my alarm. I though I had a faulty LED light and the wires were pulled out just enough for the connection to not work.

Disconnect the harness, reseat the wires, reconnect , all should be good.

Just a suggestion, Hope this helps.
Peace Out!

Check also to make sure the hood pin gets pushed down far enough when the hood is closed, if it's still making a connection to ground when the alarm is armed the alarm will then ignore the hood pin trigger.
