So... Exactly which wire is coming from your fuse box and running to your amp??
Is it the remote wire?

I pray you didn't run the constant power to your amp from the fuse box, and just up the fuse. Or no fuse at all! Ooooh I know, maybe you ran too small of a wire. That would cause a fire.

Don't run power wires from your fuse box. If you have any kind of stereo at all, you're likely drawing too much current for the wires under the dash to handle before heating up/catching fire. The whole point of using larger gauge wire is to decrease resistance (which creates heat when a current is passed through; the more current, the more heat produced). If the wire draws too much current it can get hot and even cause fires. This is especially important for things like car stereos, where you have to run power wires long distances (resistance is measured per foot).

Provided I've diagnosed your problem correctly (difficult to do without looking for myself), run larger gauge wire from your amp DIRECTLY to the battery, and make sure to fuse the wire close to the battery. The size/current draw of your amplifier(s) will dictate the gauge size you need; the size of the fuse on your power wire(s) should be the highest amperage that that particular gauge of wire can safely draw without heating up. Proper gauge/fuse size charts can be easily found online, and probably even in this forum if you search.

Here's one chart I found that should help you with determining your proper gauge size and fuse size:

The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

get a full wiring kit and wire from battery with a swtich on the remote or if its aftermarket hu, attach to that
