Ok, so the other day I left my lights on for quite some time and COMPLETELY drained my battery. Well, I jump started it and thought everything was okay until recently. I've been noticing my car taking a few more cranks when turning the key to start.
Also, today I started it, turned my lights on, and they were dimmer than usual. After half a second I felt a slight shudder, and the lights came on to normal brightness. Have I somehow damaged my battery or alternator? Or perhaps is the belt on my alternator not tight enough?
probably just need to charge it up....either put it on a charger, or start your car and run it for a while to let the alternator charge it

Draining lead acid batteries will shorten the life of them. But one draining on a relatively new battery will not kill it. Quick charinging after a drain like that (what an alternator dose) is not good for it eather. Your better off useing a deep cycle charger and let it charge over night.
having your alternator charge a dead battery isn't good at all for your alternator either. Your alternator is designed to run your electrical system while your car is running.
Your battery is "mainly" just for starting the car, and powering electronics while the car is off.
Having your alternator power your electrical system AND charge your dead battery puts a high strain on it, and may shorten it's life span. Personally, I would take the battery out of the car and take it to Advanced Auto Parts, or AutoZone and have them charge it up for you...
