Trunk switch type on 2001 cavalier z24

Hi, I want to connect my new alarm to the factory trunk popper but don't know if the trunk switch needs a +12V or - ???

It's a 2001 cavalier z24 ...

+12 volts on the black/white wire. Make suer you have a relay on it, if it's a low amp wire (off the alarm). The popper consumes a hefty amount of current.
