I've tried pretty much every speaker placement for my components, and came to the conclusion that kick-panels are the best solution, otherwise the midbass driver will always get mufled by the door panel no matter how I mount it (Anybody overcame this problem differently than by using kicks?).
I know Q-Logic makes the Q-forms, is there another company that makes 'em? Where to get 'em cheap? Lastly, how hard would it be to do myself? I don't have experience with fiberglass, but I have access to all the tools I need to create a decent wood structure.
Thanks
cardomain sells them for like 130 bucks

Yeah man, save yourself a lot of trouble and buy those. They fit perfect and the color matchs great.
well, I knew that Cardomain sold them for about that price and Crutchfield for like 150, but I just think that it's goddamn expensive for a stupid mold of plastic! There must be another company doing these??
Takes a little patience to get it all lined up but the fitment is perfect.
Be carefull with your speaker choice so they fit.
The 6.5's I have in mine are actually mounted from the back on mine using a 1/4" spacer, because the speakers outer diameter was just slightly too big to mount from the front.
Sounds awesome, and looks good.
They will not interfere with the clutch pedal, but you'll have to get used to not having the dead pedal anymore, but the overall effect is worth it.

I would drive Major's car with them, and it was a stick, with no problem. Looks kinda crazy from top, but you will not hit them.

I never got used to not having a dead pedal in my old Lumina. That's one place where I would choose comfort over sound.
