Headlights dimming

Alright...so i have this amp...its a 1000watt max pioneer and it puts out 600watts RMS @ 2 ohm....i have a dvc sub thats hooked in parrallel to produce a 2 ohm load...and whenever some powerful bass hits ... the headlights dim......a lot....so like should that be happening with that much current being drawn? I have some friends with 1000watt amps and they're headlights dont dim...

Have you upgraded the "big 3" wires yet? That solves most "dimming" problems.

also, how old and in what condition is your battery?

Big 3 done with 4 guage wire.

1 Fared cap.

New battery.

Lights still dim.

next step to install a 160 amp altenator.

Will let you know if it works when done.
