In parallel, the calculation is generally (ohm1 x ohm2) / (ohm1 + ohm2) do that over and over in pairs until all voice coils are accounted for. dont do it all at once. Doing that, it comes out to 256 divided by 16. Obviously that isnt right. whereas if you do it by pairs, it comes out to 16 / 8 = 2 (twice, once for each DVC speaker) and then 4 / 4 = 1.
Man, was it ever a b!tch to figure out how to get my 6 ohm DVC's to run at 2 ohms. I just decided to run 3 voice coils all in parallel. (3x6=18)/(3+6=9) = 2 ohms.
For those of you who read about me putting my home speakers in it, I took 'em back out. Fell over too often

I had 'em runnin at about 2.5 ohms though
But, from what I've heard, kickers kick harcore @zz
