Brandon 9005 and 9006 are the same physical size buld. The wattage is the only difference between them, plus the 9006 has the tip painted making it a low beam bulb. Hope this answers your question.

i have an HID KIT if u read.. i had black projectors that used 9005 in both beams and im getting new projectors with 9006 low beams so i have to make it fit

lenko i had those projectors and i thought they sucked the actual projector anyway so im getting some diff. apc black ones to see if the projector is any better

All projectors suck..

Let me know if you find the APC ones to have any better quality output... I'm not too impressed with this set either.

i'm looking for doing the exact same thing and was wondering the exact same thing!!!!!
I would like to keep my 9005 kit and not having to spend an other 400 for a 9006 kit....
let us know when you find out. I hope the lights will be better with apc then the matrix one.

i used to have the black projectors on my car that took both the 9005 for the low beam and the high beam. i purchased the hid kit from hidynamic, com aswell. when i switched back to my factory headlights the 9005 hid bulbs that ihave fit right into the 9006 spot. the only difference was that the size of the rubber seal at the base of the bulb is slightly smaller on the 9005 then the 9006 so it doesnt seal as well. ive been running it for about 8 months and have had no problems yet

Yeah, I can see fine. I had to point them down at the road, since the black projectors seemed to aim upwards at the sky. I bent the metal on the rad support where the projectors bolt to, did the trick for me. Light output isn't as bright (overall) as the stock lights were, but where it is is quite intense. It's blindingly bright if you're in the beam.
