magic touch?

Has anyone heard of, or even possibly used a "Magic Touch" door opening system. I saw on Uverhaulin' last week that they installed a kit that uses capacitor plates to replace your doorhandle. All you need is the plate and harness and a door popper. Then when you touch the metal piece where your doorhandle used to be your door opens. No buttons or anything, just a change in capacitance.

That wouldnt happened to have been the dodge magnum that they swapped a 300 front end? That car was amzing when it was finished. Im going to assume the door kit is pricey. If you are seriously thinking about doing the mod. DO IT!!!

Well if it was on the outside of the handle and someone accidently touched it they might open your door. On the inside protects it from being popped open all the time by random people Thats what I'am assuming anyways.

I tried the new vette, and you have to press a button on the inside of the handle. No ignition key also, the car starts with a button when the keys are in the car.

Can you imagine, with the magic touch, the amazing number of dirty oily fingerprints, espcially on a black car?!? F'ing stupid IMO, especially at that price! Get the handles shaved and a remote, mucho better.

Dave: The "existing keyless entry" system they're talking about is only the lock/unlock remote everybody has
