how do you install an tach in a 96 cavalier? DO YOU REALY NEED A TACH ADAPTOR OR IS THERE AWAY AROUNF IT ?
I'm wondering this also. I have a 98 and am wanting reverse glow gauges from speedhut, but they don't yet make ones that fit my car. They do make 00-02 w/tach ones though... would it work to swap out my cluster with one from those years and the tach work without other hookups?
i have an autogauge tach and NEEDED the adapter. If u try hooking it up without one, the RPM reading will only be half of the actual amount. I am using the RKSport adapter, and works well for me but others have had problems with it.
