since i might be adding CC power locks and stuff i might as well install power windows if i feel like it. can i just pic up parts from a junkyard and plug and play with them in my car? how hard would the install be?
if anyone has done this or knows anyone who has or knows of any links. please post. thanks
i've read getting a SPAL universal power window kit is the best option... i'm interested in doing this to my car also. I don't know what to do with the buttons though, I'd like it to look as stock as possible..

I would get an aftermarket kit. Most likely it'll be around the same cost, maybe cheaper. The motors are usually better quality than factory motors from what I hear. If you want a factory look, I would look into getting a stock window switch panel. You might have to do some wiring for it to work together, but I wouldn't think it would be that hard.

its easy. if i can do it you can do it. i have the autoloc kit, kinda noisy. i wanted it to look stock as possible too, so i mounted the switches to the sides of the center console. theyre lighted switches too.

what does spal mean. im interested. what gaurantees do i have that itll work?
not trying to jack your post, but in adding cruise, what is needed? the switch obviously, the control unit that attaches to the strut tower and what else?
JEremy LAkenes> SPAL is a brand name. I can guarantee that the unit works, and people have had good exsperiances with them, but I can't say 100% that you will be able to install them even though others have. I don't know how familiar you are with DIY(do-it-yourself) stuff.

ive installed 4 engines, rewired 3 boats, installed a few trannies and basically all was trial and error (i.e. most i taught myself and then i would ask a mechanic) I know my way around wiring and relays, resistors and fuses. (took 3 electricity classes for aircraft)
im pretty creative in some of my work, im a perfectionist and hate crappy work.
the only thing is, is that installing stuff in interior, im not sure if its me or what but it never seems to go back together perfectly. its like an interior panel will always stickout somewhere a little more that before or i loose a freaken screw inside the door panel or whatever.
would a chiltons or haynes help with interior stuff. i havent look at a manual about interior before.
also would i have to set up the factory fuse box for getting the things fused?
more questions later

you could tap into any acc wire with enough juice, or add a relay and a fuse. I don't think the manuals help much for interior stuff, at least they never helped me. Sounds like you'd be able to wire it up and get it in, it's pretty easy.

grimor, shoot me an email with some specs and a final price and ill see what i can do.
also what is included in the kit? fuses and wiring or ?
i dont know much about window motors or if they have an automatic shutoff for when they go down and up if you know what i mean.
also, how would i wire in automatic switches.
you know how the driver side of cars now adays have that second switch in the same switch that if you push down farther the window will stay going down?
i would like to have that on both sides, left and right.
more ideas and imput from others would be appreciated as well.
uhh no mail.
