i am wondering this because i want to put my monitor where the headunit goes, but i dont want to have to put the headunit or the hvac into the glovebox where its hard to reach...so if i could just install the headunit in the center console, it would make life easier...obviously i would have to extend the wires, but other than that, i dont think it would be incredibly hard...but is it possible? or will it not eject cd's?
OH, also, what about the antenna adapter? an antenna adapter wouldn't reach that far...what would i do about that? thanks for the help.
It should tell you in the instructions for the headunit. I believe they have to be within like 30 degress of horizontal, but I could be wrong.

depends entirely on the h/u
buy one with a headunit and monitor built in
Or mouth you HVAC into the center consol and your HU in the dash where the HVAC was

i'd say it depends on the headunit. We have some cars that come with pioneer units that are in the center console fitted vertically..a.k.a defender. Ne-waz, it's more of a heat issue along with if the cd can play/eject in a vertical position
