I searched but couldn't find an answer. I believe they do, I just wanted to make sure. When i purchased my car it never came with a remote.

does the car have power locks, if it does chances are you should have keyless entry.
Yes it does have power locks, i thought all Z24's had that?

Not all of them have keyless entry. My 01 Z had power everything, but no keyless entry.
Check to see if your trunk silonoid is wired up, but you have no trunk release button on the inside
lol, nope.....NO power locks, no power windows, no keyless, no power anything. I guess it is good in a saving weight way...

In Canada... for 2000 model year... keyless was standard on LS sedans and Z24 convertibles only... it was optional for all other models.
The way to tell is to look at the body control module (BCM) above the pedals under the dash. If it has "RFA" on the sticker, and the remains of a plastic bag stuck to the side (that's where the remotes hide when the car comes from the factory), then it has keyless.
00+ models have to go to GM for reflashing of remotes, need the Tech 2 diagnostic tool.

Eric for some odd reason GM decided that the 2001 Cavalier didn't need the trunk release, i just use my key fob so its not bad.
Yup... if your trunk release is wired up, then you have keyless entry. I just got a $10 remote from ebay, went to the dealer, and for FREE(Luckily) I now have keyless entry
Original owners must have lost the remote.

I dont have a trunk release button in car, only on the FOB.
Hmmm so good chance is that i have it since i have no trunk release in the car
i dont have the manual trunk release inside (which sucks when the car might be on, or the keys in the ignition... of all the options a Sunfire GT has, that wasnt one of them.
Mine came with it... the auctioneers just lost the remote to it. Although i must add how crappy the remote is. I had to be within 3 feet of the car for it to even work.
Try changing the battery...lol
