well I need one. my model didn't come with a trunk popper button on the interior, only on my remote, no big deal right.
I'd like to wire one in just for convenience. Any idea how I'd go about doing that guys I'd appreciate the help.
I wonder if it's a switched negative output. Do me a favor. Check the wiring for it, should only be 1 wire. Check it with a multimeter. Does it show 12 volt when it's hooled up, then when you press the trunk release button, does it goto zero? If that's the case, then it's a negative input, and what you can do is wire a button from that wire to ground, so when you press the button it'll ground it, completing the circuit. If it shows zero volts and when you press the button it shows 12 volts, it's a positive input. You can wire a button in, and also a power source. You'd have to use a diode so power doesn't backfeed into the control box. Does this make sense to you?

I have no popper that's the problem, there's no wiring to it. I just press the button on the remote
I'll look at my wiring diagram that leads to the trunk popper in the back and put my friend's multimeter and see what happens.
along the drivers side trim inside there is a black wire with a white line on it...apply positive 12v to it and ur trunk pops. i finished doing mine a couple weeks ago.
