Just checking on how much work would it would be to change out my alt to a 160 amp or 200 amp... Besides the normal... Would i have to change out the stock wires from the alt to battery or will the quick big 3 work just fine.( run another larger gauge wire from alt to batt leave stock on in place)
If you go for a high-amp alternator it is highly suggested that you change the battery-to-alternator cable to 4 ga. power wire. You can just use the stuff you find at an audio shop. I did and it worked just fine. I wouldn't cut corners when it comes to the electrical/charging system on my car.
