Are there any audio decks on the market that will allow me to connect my USB external harddrive to it to play MP3s off of? Mine currently is on the fritz, so it's gotta go!

I have a Soundstorm SMP3-100r. It has a USB port and a SD memory card slot. I've never used the USB function, because I currently have a 1 GB SD card in it.

(changed my display name, I'm aaron)

The Soundstorm cost me $140. The only other models I could find that had a SD slot were $300+ JVCs.

AUDIOBAHN A1200N - AM, FM, CD, XM READY, MOTORIZED - D-FACE, iPOD DIRECT $159

AUDIOBAHN A1250N - AM, FM, CD, XM READY, MOTORIZED - D-FACE 2 LAYER VFT DISPLAY $186

I'm thinking about getting the 1250 and swapping my pioneer into my wife's car. Would be interesting if I can hang a 4gb micro drive off it.....

Yeah don't cheap out and go with the audiobahn, or the VR3 that walmart sells, or the sounds storm, eventually good brand names will come out with them as well. I would explore into decks that would let you play mp3 dvd's, 4.7 gb of mp3's is a lot of songs. There are quite a few of the dvd decks out that will do this, so check them out.

A buddy of mine bought that and the sound is actually pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap face.

I just bought an Omnifi DMP1 that has a separate faceplate and connects to your radio. It has 20GB but can be upgraded to 100GB+, which should be enough memory to last for a while. The only bad thing about it is the factory software and proprietary audio format, but there is an open source program to replace it and allow you to play regular mp3s.
