Friend has the same subs as me 2 12" Apline Type -Es. and was wonderin if this is a good amp.

even tho the subs only handle 275 RMS ? trust me this kid loves pushin stuff to its limit on a daily basis. sp?

There's not much power difference between them, and they're both rated at ~14V, so there's not alot of hidden power to be had by either. The Directed amp is a Class D (more efficient) and cheaper, so go with the Directed. Putting 25w per sub over their rating shouldn't hurt anything provided he sets his gains properly (ie not maxed/clipped), even with tones.

Damn, I wish we could get cheap power like that up here in Canadia.

yea my buddy that tuned my amp for me is gonna set up his so it should be good

o and would it be safe for him to bridged his 2 4ohm subs on that amp? because i know when i hooked up my Rockford amp i messed up and bridged my 2 4 ohm subs on one channel

The directed is a monoblock, and it's good to 1 ohm, so yes, you'll be fine.
