first off I'd like to request that everyone keep their opinions of circuit city, and flaming to yourself. I don't want to know what you think about them. thanks.
here's my problem:
whenever I move my shifter out of park (into reverse, drive, whatever), my DRL dummy light clicks on and off about 5 times, and then my service dummy light turns on.
story:
I work at circuit city, and I got in on our DEI accomodation before it expired Sept. 30th. I got the Python 881XP alarm + remote start + keyless entry. I had the guys in the roadshop install it for me.
I have a 2004 cavalier. I've done the DRL disable mod where you cut the blue wire and ground it to the steering column or whatever.
I've also had my dash apart for a while now because I'm trying to get some custom work done.. so that means my dimmer switch isn't plugged in, and my dash lights have like a 10 second delay before they turn on when I turn my headlights on.
here's what i think:
a) either he didn't hook something up right
b) he saw my dash lights weren't turning on, and rigged something up to MAKE them come on... because my dash lights come on immediatly now when I turn my headlights on (there's no more 5 second delay, and my dimmer switch still isn't plugged in)
c) my DRL disable mod + alarm make some weird problem..
thanks for any info guys

Make sure the blue wire is still grounded. 99% of the time, that's the problem....

you da man! I didn't solder the wires together, and I guess they were pulled apart when the guy was working on it. works 100% now, thanks

bah, now my break lights are stuck ON, and won't off. I disconnected the jumper wire from the DRL's again, and it didn't change. I'm gonna take my car to circuit city now..
